Titanium and its alloys can be welded using these same composition filler wires. When welding greater strength titanium alloys, fillers of lesser strength are sometimes used to get adequate weld metal ductility. This material and its alloys are fusion-welded. With argon or argon-helium shielding gas, TIG and plasma processes are used for welding thin section components.
